Not at all! The process is completely safe and painless. A small protective shield is used for safety, and the welding itself only takes a second.

Is it possible to remove permanent jewellery?

Yes! While your piece is designed to be permanent, it can be easily removed if needed. Simply cut it at the welded point using scissors or wire cutters. If you’d like it reattached, we offer a re-welding service.

Can a clasp be added if required?

We understand that some people prefer removable jewellery, which is why we offer an optional clasp-fitting service on all our pieces—giving you the flexibility of a traditional style.

Is my jewellery likely to break?

Our jewellery is made from high-quality, durable materials, and with proper care, it will last a long time. However, like all fine jewellery, it’s not indestructible. If your piece gets caught or experiences excessive force, it may snap at the welded point—this is actually a safety feature to prevent injury. If this happens, we offer a repair or re-welding service.

Will I need to remove my jewellery for airport security?

Yes! Permanent jewellery is made from precious metals like any other fine jewellery and will not set off airport security alarms. You can travel with ease knowing your piece stays with you.

What if I need to remove my jewellery for a medical procedure?

Most medical professionals will ask you to remove all metal jewellery before procedures like MRIs. In these cases, you may need to cut the piece off and have it re-welded later. If you expect to undergo frequent medical procedures, you may prefer a clasped version for easy removal.
